Description
1916 American La France Type 40 Pumper. Built for the downstate Illinois farm town of Paxton, this pumper has a "junior" 350 gallon per minute rotary pump and a generous hose bed. On its retirement from the Paxton Fire Department, the rig's bell was presented to Chief Popel, who donated it to the Hall of Flames Museum upon the engine's restoration in 1987.
